Some Songs Are Sung introduces new and old listeners to a new and old Sam Goldberg (Radio People, Mist, etc.).

Although it feels like an unexpected twist in his catalog, pop songwriting was his zone long before his groundbreaking explorations in psychedelic music of the late 00's.

Goldberg wears influences of Doug Sahm, Nillson, and The Band on his sleeve, but the sound of Some Songs has a classic and undeniable Ohio damage. Earnest lyrical hooks blast through a blown-out shit-gaze blur punctuated with steady driving drums provided by Jayson Gerycz (of Cloud Nothings).
